Summer Makeup

Hello everyone!

Ice cream isn’t the only thing that melts in this blazing Summer weather.  So what is the key to looking fresh and put together? Go light! Less is more.

With the exception of sunscreen that you should continue to be heavy handed in applying, everything else should be applied in a more conservative manner.

My favorite sunscreen of choice for my face is the Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion Wetforce SPF 50+.  It is appropriate for all skin types, turns invisible and works harder when you get hotter.   Apply generously and wait for it to dry before proceeding with anything else.

The next thing I like to use is Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer.  They offer an extensive color range but is rather sheer with just a hint of color.  I prefer something really light during the Summer and this is perfect.

For problem spots and any area that needs a bit more coverage, I prefer my trusty Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.  This is one of my favorites year round and they have an extensive range of colors so you can definitely find something that will blend in perfectly to your tanned or soon to be tanned skin.

For my eyes, I reach for my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer to ensure my eye shadows don’t smudge or crease and their Naked2 Basics Palette for a natural look.

I prefer a water proof eyeliner and my favorite at the moment is the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Micro Tip Liquid Eyeliner.

For my brows, I always use my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil.

My mascara of choice at the moment is the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.  It comes in both full sized and mini’s so if you want to just give this a try or find that mascaras dry out way too quickly, then you might want to opt for a mini size.

To finish off my look, I usually reach for my Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Tint-in-Balm.  This has dual action in that it both moisturizes and just gives a hint of color on my lips.

Voila – you are ready to rock the heat.

Hope you enjoyed reading this.

Until next time!
