A proper skincare routine is extremely important yet we often only focus on it during the day. How many of you would always apply moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation on top of a plethora of products before you leave the house in the morning?
This is true for a number of people and when we come home from a long day, the first thing we want to do is remove all the makeup because we want our skin to be able to breathe! Quite often, after this step, we ought to focus on applying different serums to ensure our skin is properly nourished because after washing our face, we strip the natural oils from our skin and it could get quite dry. This is the part that I tend to give myself the most leniency because I often embrace the feeling of having nothing on my skin so you can imagine how easygoing I am at night if I skip a few products in my nighttime routine.
If any of you are like me, you would totally understand and appreciate our quest to find a product that is lightweight that we can incorporate into our skincare regimen because deep down, we know that we can only get away from a proper routine for so long.
Look no further, Laneige has offered a viable solution via their:
and their Lip Sleeping Mask.
For those who are unfamiliar with this brand, Laneige is a Korean brand created by Amore Pacific back in 1994. They claim to “have unleashed scientifically-engineered, skin-perfecting mineral water clinically proven to hydrate, protect and revitalize individual skin types. The result: 24-hour hydration and protection against sun, pollution and stress.”
Now, I have tried enough brands to know to not fully believe their claims…..well, at least have a bit of reservation until I try it myself, and I have to admit, these products are one of the most lightweight I have ever used.
Let’s start with their Water Sleeping Mask:
This product is good for all skin types, even if your skin is sensitive! It is meant to help solve dryness, dullness, uneven texture, fine lines and the dreaded wrinkles! It is formulated without Parabens
or Phthalates and has been dermatologist tested.
Ideally, you should use this 1-2 times a week, be a bit more generous during days when your skin feels extra dry. Remember to not neglect your neck as well.
Next, let’s look into their Eye Sleeping Mask:
Like their Water Sleeping Mask, Laneige’s Eye Sleeping Mask is also suitable for all skin types. This is a fairly new addition to their product line and I am extremely happy with it’s introduction. I use to never get enough sleep and as a result, will wake up with really puffy eyes. This is a leave-on eye mask that hydrates and de-puffs tired-looking eyes. It is formulated without Parabens or Phthalates and has been dermatologist tested.
Ideally, you should use this 2-3 times a week, however, I find that I enjoy using this as an eye cream during the day as well.
Finally, let’s explore Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask:
This is a leave-on lip mask that you would apply on your lips before going to sleep so that it can soothe and moisture overnight. If you have chapped lips and find that lipstick tends to accentuate your lips fine lines, this should help solve those issues.
You can use this product every night but I recommend wiping your lips off in the morning because this exfoliates your lips so there may be flaky skin hanging around.
In addition, I recently noticed that Sephora is also offering a kit called their “Good Night Kit” which includes a 0.5 oz/ 15 mL Water Sleeping Mask and 0.10 oz/ 3 g Lip Sleeping Mask. This is great for those who want to give these products a try without committing to a full size and these are amazing to bring when you travel.

Until next time!
